Order Information

Examples of Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, email address, and phone number.  Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfill our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.  Source of collection: collected from you.  Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify.

We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above.  For example:

We do not engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.

Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

Temporary deny list of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions.  This deny list persists for a small number of hours.  Temporary deny list of credit cards associated with deny listed IP addresses.  This deny list persists for a small number of days.

GDPR

SECTION 2 - CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.  For example, if we receive a lawful court order to release account or other personal information then we will comply with the law.  We will also release information when necessary to protect the life, safety, or property of others.  This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. 

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc.  They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application.  They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data.  It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

SECTION 6 - SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

Cookies

Like many websites, we use "cookies".  Cookies are small programs that we transfer to your hard drive that allow us to recognize you and to provide you with a customized shopping experience.  If you do not want us to use cookies, you can easily disable them by going to the toolbar of your web browser and clicking on the “help” button.  Follow the instructions that will prevent the browser from accepting cookies or set the browser to inform you when you receive a new cookie.  In addition, you may visit this and other websites anonymously using utilities provided by other private companies.

Please note that because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.

SECTION 7 - AGE OF CONSENT

We do not sell products or services to children.  This Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.  By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of 18. If you are under 18, you may use this site only with involvement of a parent or guardian.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
